Smt. Sunitha became popular with her very first song "Ee Velalo Neevu" (a romantic song from Gulabi), directed by Krishna Vamsy. Some of her most famous hits include, "Naa Paata Theta Telugu Paata" from Athade Oka Sainyam , directed by SV Krishna Reddy, "Maaghamasam" from Egire Pavurama directed by SV Krishna Reddy, "Naa Peru Cheppukondi" from Pallakilo Pellikuthuru, etc.

Sunitha has won several Nandi Awards in the past. She is a trained singer in Carnatic music and also Lalitha Sangeetham. Sunitha has no interest in acting in films. She wants to pursue her singing career. She has now set her eyes firmly on bagging a national award in 2008.
