Mamata Mohandas Wallpapers

Mamta Mohandas who acted in NTR's hit film YamaDonga is getting engaged in November. The last time Mamta Mohandas talked, she had said that her parents were on the look out for an ideal match. Looks like they have finally hunted down her Mr Right.

And yes, the news is confirmed! Tollywood's hottest youngster is going to enter wedlock next year. The engagement will be held in November, confirmed Mamta's mother. However, she said more details of the groom would be divulged post the engagement.

According to sources, Mamta is going to get married to a long-time friend in Bahrain, whom she and her family have known since long. The wedding, sources say, will be held next year.

After doing King with Nagarjuna, Mamta Mohandas has been busy shooting for a commercial. “Besides the usual kicks and punches that I will be doing for the ad, this one showcases me as a strong-willed woman,” says the actress. Interestingly, friends and fans of Mamta have been raving about her rippling muscled look in a social networking site and gone on to label her as the desi Lara Croft. “I hit the gym quite often,” says the actress, who has been urged by Telugu filmmakers to put some weight at the ‘right places’. “I am giving it a serious thought,” she says. We’ll ‘weight’ for it!
Nagarjuna, Srinu Vytla film ‘King’ shooting is going on at a brisk pace. The film is expected to hit the screens on Dec 19. All his films released in December third week did good businessand Nagarjuna developed a sentiment towards that week. Nagarjuna will be seen in three different getups as King and the film is a mix of all commercial elements, says Srinu Vytla.Srinu vytla is well known for his comedy and this film would be another comedy entertainer.

Trisha plays the female lead in the film whereas Mamata Mohandas was roped in to do a special role. Mamata was earlier considered for Nag’s Don but later that role was offered toAnushka for some unknown reasons. However, Mamata managed to cast opposite ever green ‘King’ Nag this time. She is also playing second heroine in another top hero Venkatesh’s film ‘Chintakayala Ravi’. Bagging two meaty projects in a row, Mamata is surely expecting good response from telugu people.

When most actresses suffer in silence, gutsy Mamata Mohandass openly blames the team of Homam for causing her mental trauma by forcing her to do a scorching number with Jagapati Babu, overriding her reservations.

Classical singer turned actor with Malayalam film Maayuham and few more films including aTelugu film Yamadonga established her acting repertoire. Though her singing even fetched her a Filmfare award, her passion for acting is gradually eclipsing her singing aspirations.

It seems that you and Jagapati Babu will set screen alight with hot numbers in Homam? Have you learnt anything from your flops like Krishnarjuna and Victory?
I had tough time clarifying my stance that I wasn't up for any change of image. Even while shooting for the song, I put my foot down as I went through mental trauma as I was totally uncomfortable doing the sizzling moves composed by choreographer Sabrina Khan. I also had a tiff with director JD but later relented when he convinced me that it was essential. I decided to overlook it since I was portraying a dignified role of a psychiatrist in the film. Out of some flops I realised the significance of well-knit scripts. I did Krishnarjuna and Victory by just hearing plotlines but now, I will insist on the complete scripts. I am also sharing my ideas with writers.

Even after bagging a Filmfare for Raaki Raaki, you have shelved your singing career?
I have resolved to become a top-rung actress, so professional playback singing is bound to take a backseat. However I will croon for my films. I am a trained Hindustani and classical singer and an actor by accident when ace filmmaker Hariharan signed me for a Malayalam film Maayuham. It also fetched me the best actress award I also understood the variation between subtle and loud acting besides firmly resolving to do away with art films. It was great working with Madhavan and our chemistry will be evident in our next Tamil release Guru En Aalu.

Do you intend to join Bhoomika and Charmee in the female-centric club? Hasn't gossip disturbed you?
I did get few offers but I declined them since I felt that it was too early for me to attempt author-backed roles. Earlier I was linked to Suresh Gopi and recently with Devi Sri Prasad but I have decided to laugh away such baseless gossip.

Dil Raju- he is successful producer and as well as distributor in Tollywood, in fact he started his film career as film distributor. He reached to a place where entire Tollywood believes that if their film is distributed by Dil Raju, it would be a big a hit.
He bought the rights of Karunakaran's Ullasanga Ustahanaga recently and the film is doing well at the box office. Now Dil Raju has bought the rights of Jagapathi Babu's Homam.
Jagapathi Babu is the hero and Mamatha Mohandass is his love interest in the film Homam. JD Chakravarthy is directing and doing a role in the film.
The music of the film will be released on 3rd August in a special function to be held in Ad Labs, Ram Gopal Varma will release the music.
Film is scheduled for 28th August release.

Mamata Mohandas has just returned from the US where she was shooting for her next film, the Venkatesh-starrer Chintakayala Ravi.

She has not had a release in a while but with three of her films- Victory, Homam and Chintakayala Ravi - all set to release one after another, we are surely going to see a lot of her over the next couple of months! The actress, it seems, is very happy with the way the films have shaped up. "I am eagerly looking forward to the release of these three films.

I am happy that I got to play three characters that are completely different from each other. I enjoyed playing each character and can't wait to see the audience response," says a jubilant Mamata. That's not all, the singer-turned-actress has also lent her voice for a song each in both Victory and Homam.

The song in Homam especially has got everybody talking. "I play a doctor's character in the film and it's a situational song in the film when the two lead characters express their love for the first time. So it had to be sensual," she laughs. Mamata has not signed any Telugu filmsfor now.

"Presently, I am busy doing a Tamil film with Madhavan and Abbas. I would like to wait for my films to hit the screens before I take on any more Tollywood assignments," she said.

She arrived with a bang with her very first film Sivapadhikaram opposite Vishal in Tamil. However, Tollywood beckoned her and she became a sensation in Telugu as well.
She was an instant hit as a singer and became a household name even before the release of her debut film Yama Donga. After a long gap she has now signed a Tamil film with Madhavan called Guru En Aalu.
Q Why this gap after your sensational start in Kollywood with Sivapadhikaram?
I got lot of offers after Sivapadhikaram. In fact, right from Veyyil, I have been getting offers in Tamil. I was committed to a Telugu film Yama Donga, which took eight months to complete. Moreover, I take a break after each film’s release.

Q Heard you are directing Rajinikanth in Kuselan. How did you bag this offer?
I can’t reveal that. Yes, I play a co-director to a director in Kuselan. I was thrilled when I got a call from the producers asking if I would be interested to do an important role in Kuselan. This happened while I was shooting for the Malayalam film Mussafir in Dubai. It was a great opportunity to share the screen with Rajinikanth. Sneha, Khushboo and others play themselves in the film. I have completed a seven-day schedule and my role is different. I am also singing a song which will probably be shot on Nayan.
Q How did your singing stint happen?
I am trained in classical music. I have always had the habit of humming snatches of some song or the other. Devi Sri Prasad heard me one day and asked me whether I would be interested in singing. That’s how the title song of Rakhee happened. After that, I sang for Jagadam, Shankar Dada Yama Donga and the last two were picturised on me. I consider it lucky to sing for my own films as it enables me to emote in my own voice, since I am familiar with the situation.
Q Is it true that Devi Sri Prasad has a soft corner for you and he promotes you ever so often?
(Laughs) Yes, I too have heard these rumours. People started spreading rumours when my first song composed by Devi was a big hit. It is fun working with him. We share a professional relationship and nothing beyond that. Right now, I am concentrating on my work and have no time or inclination for anything else. The
song would have been a hit even if some other singer sang it. I am the topic of gossip only because I happen to be an actress.
Q You seem to have no qualms in wearing revealing outfits?
I think you are referring to a few scenes in Homam. Actually, I was upset when they suddenly narrated the scene after I reached the sets. However, they did not force me. I requested for a few changes in the costume. I am not averse to doing glam roles. One can look sexy even in a sari.
Q How was it working with Madhavan in Guru En Aaalu?
I was acquainted with Madhavan even before I got my break in films. I am a big fan of his.
At last the beautiful diva Mamata Mohandas made it big in Tollywood. She finally got a chance to pair with one of the Tollywood’s top 4 heroes.

She bagged a meaty role opposite Venkatesh in the film Chintakayala Ravi. Though she is not the main heroine in this film she definitely has a role to play in it.

Earlier in her career Mamata was supposed to act in Nagarjuna’s Don but luck didn’t favor her. She lost that role to Anushka and interestingly now in Chintakayala Ravi too she is playing second fiddle to Anushka.

Mamata already showed her dare bare attitude in terms of skin show and with this plump offer at her hands she is all set to make it big. Let us hope the very best for this singingbeauty.

Spicy actress Mamta Mohandas’ career might be scaling new heights, but her love life has taken a back seat.

Thus no candle-lit dinner and wine and cheese party for this lovely lady on V-Day. But, as spirited as she is, her plans aren't marred by it.

The sprightly gal has planned a house warming party on Feb 14. She’s planning to make this Valentine’s Day special for her mom, as her dad is coming back home after a long business trip abroad.
