Beautiful Priyanka Chopra Gallery

Priyanka Chopra Gallery

priyanka chopra and katrina kaif PhotoOnly solo-heroine films for Katrina Kaif – at least for now. That’s what the actress has decided after a string of successes from Namaste London to Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.
Soon after reports that Katrina had agreed to be part of a film which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, comes news that she has opted out of the Anurag Basu film. Explaining the rationale of her decision, a close friend of the actress says, “When Katrina agreed to do Anurag Basu’s film with Ranbir, no mention was made of another heroine, and certainly not of Priyanka. However, when word about this reached her, she found the whole idea of the credit titles reading ‘Ranbir-Katrina-Priyanka’ too gimmicky. Not that she has anything against Priyanka or any other co-star.”

But the more immediate reason for Katrina could be that she has finally acquired the rights to produce the remake of a French film –she’s been after it for almost a year now and wants to immediately allot time for this pet project.

Having signed Dostana 2 and Zoya Akhtar’s next, besides Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan (for which she’s shooting at the moment), the only way she could accommodate this remake was to refuse any other projects this year.

Katrina doesn’t deny she has decided to do only solo-heroine films. “I am not saying I won’t do films with other leading ladies, but for now, I’m happy in the space I am. Why should I unnecessarily rock the boat? And yes, I am finally about to lock the deal to produce my film. It’s a fabulous role and I’ve been angling for the remake rights for quite some time. I’d like to get down to it as soon as possible.”

The remake of the French film will feature Katrina as a scheming gold-digger. She has apparently been pining to play a grey role for some time now.
While the newest, hottest trend with actresses is — less is more, its ditto for filmmakers.Less is more — we mean, in terms of moolah only. Yeah, like many new age producers, publishing magnate Nari Hira, who recently produced Accident on Hill Road (a thriller starring Celina Jaitley), says, “I believe in the formula that small focused movies makes more money. It’s a better watch than three-and-a-half hours long, expensive movies. Unless you are making a historical like Jodhaa Akbar¸ the shorter the movie, the better it is.” Commenting on Gowarikar’s long film, What’s Your Rashee?, he cattily added, “One Priyanka is bad enough, how can we tolerate 12 of her.” Ouch! But trust Mr Hira to come up with such quotable quotes, and as a producer his one-liners are only getting more lethal we see. It’s not by accident either. Well, one thing is for sure, PC and he will be star-crossed for a very, very long time. No doubts, absolutely! And we can’t wait for Ashu to fire back, too..
After doing 12 characters in the movie Whats your rashee, Priyanka chopra will be doing a movie titled "Seven Husbands". Vishal Bhardwaj of Kaminey fame will be directing this film. Priyanka chopra will be playing 7 characters in the film against 7 different men(husbands) with small makeup changes. Speaking to the media vishal bhardwaj said, " I was planning to do this movie with priyanka chopra during the time of kaminey, now after seeing whats your rashee, I think Priyanka is perfect for this role". Currently script work is in progress and the film may go to sets in next month january.

There are czarinas and actresses. And then, there is Priyanka Chopra, a perfect blend of both. PC, who has been inundated with compliments for her performance in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey, is completely overwhelmed with bouquets. However, somewhere deep down, she is also a little worried. The good news is that she is on a hat-trick. For Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion she walked away with every award in the book, for Karan Johar’s Dostana she got compliments galore, and now for Kaminey — the praise is still pouring in. “I’m over-awed, I can’t tell you how great it feels,’’ says the natural-born actress. She says she worked really hard for the part of the feisty, uninhibited middle-class Maharashtrian girl, Sweety in Kaminey. “While the hard work paid dividends it also took from me a lot of blood sweat tears and more,’’ she sighs. She is glad that she walked the path less travelled in her movies — Fashion was women-centric; Dostana was a light-hearted mainstream take on homosexuality; Kaminey got critical acclaim for being refreshingly different. “In other words, the cinema I have done in recent times has been liberating, it has broken barriers.’’

And, while she is killing herself over reactions to her next film What’s Your Rashee? — where she essays 12 diversely unique parts, she is seriously worried about the impact of it all on her health.

“I have said this earlier,’’ says the actress, “it’s the same OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) at work. I’ve been warned by my parents (both doctors) and well-wishers not to let work take its toll on me. And, though I wish to pay heed to their advice, I can’t stop myself from getting excessively involved with the work I take on. Honestly, I drive myself to a point of no return when it comes to any part that I undertake in a film. I’m just so involved that it starts to hurt. And I don’t realise I’m bleeding till such time as I’m on a set because I don’t stop to look.’’
The actress has forcibly been ordered a hiatus from the studios by her parents. And, when she returns, she hopes to once again start promoting her WYR? and Pyaar Impossible with gusto.
Those on the sets of Pyaar Impossible say the producers should quickly change the title to Pyaar Possible. Yeah, it is being insinuated that Uday Chopra really likes his costar Priyanka Chopra a lot! The two yak so much on the sets that it is clearly evident that they have more than just their film and gizmos in common. PC readily admits, “When Uday and I are around, we can’t stop talking.’’ A joke doing the studio rounds is if Priyanka were to ever take her friendship with Uday to another level (Yawn! Currently they’re only ‘good friends’) then PC needn’t even apply for a name change. What’s with Bollywood and their silly sense of humour?
The actor rubbishes reports about her having a cosmetic surgery and says she might take legal action against the doctor who spread the news.

Recently a television channel aired a programme in which a doctor held up one of Priyanka Chopra’s old pictures and explained what kind of surgeries she might have undergone to get her recent sizzling look. This hasn’t gone down too well with Priyanka and she says she might take legal action against the doctor or the channel.

“We might take some legal action. We are seeing if people are picking this up,” Priyanka told After Hrs.

This former Miss World also says that she really gets upset hearing or seeing ‘false news’ about her.

“It does affect me. I feel sad that people who write such things do not understand that though I’m a celebrity for them but I’m someone’s daughter, relative or neighbour. So, when they write such things about me or my personal life, which are not true, they fail to realise that it may affect my parents who might be reading what they wrote the next day,” she says.

She adds, “I understand that we are celebrities and people want to know everything about us, but this is not right. You can’t marry me off to someone one day, make me go through a break-up and even write that I have done a crime just because you want to make news.”

Priyanka has also made news recently as some papers claimed that she and her Fashion co-star Kangana were not getting along well with each other. Apparently Kangana was not happy with Priyanka getting all the limelight.

“There is no truth behind this news. I have to deny this news now because people will keep on writing about it. People like these mirch masalas – two girls working together cannot be friends. I’m not saying that Kangana and I are back-slapping buddies, but we really get along well and she was tremendous in Fashion,” says Priyanka.

These issues, notwithstanding, Priyanka has lots to smile as Fashion set the cash registers ringing and she was also appreciated for her performance. Now, she is now ready to set the screen on fire with Dostana.

She says, “Dostana is a sensible comedy. It is funny, hilarious; it will have you falling off your seats but when you come out of the theatres, there will be a part of you which will say that it was a good film.”

It seems every other day a star is telling us, "I can't fall asleep until I hit the gym for two hours. Else, I'll never unwind! And my diet? I eat dal, chapati and salad."
