The Beckhams, who relocated to Los Angeles in 2007 after David joined LA Galaxy, are apparently selling the 17-acre estate worth 18 million pounds. The property comprises a helipad, petting zoo, swimming pools and a recording studio

The LA Galaxy star feels bad that the luxury cars are gathering dust at Beckingham Palace in Sawbridgeworth, Herts. "David's collection is amazing and each of these vehicles is worth a fortune," the Sun quoted a friend as saying

The 36-year-old footie star has decided to part with two Bentleys, a BMW 645, a Range Rover Sport and his Lamborghini Gallardo worth 170,000 pounds. He may also sell his three Harley-Davidson motorbikes

They are hardly used and are kept in prize condition - but David sees little point in them just mothballing in the UK and it's not practical to ship them to America

Beckham, who has spent a fortune on his lavish car collection, made a humble start driving a Ford Escort to training at Manchester United. He soon upgraded to a Porsche 911 and has gone on to own Cadillacs, several Porsches, Range Rovers, Bentleys and a Hummer

Last year Beckham sold his Porsche 911 Carrera, the car he drove around LA for 136,000 pounds on eBay. In 2005 he sold his BMW M3 for 90,000 pounds, having bought it for 44,000 pounds in 1997

The Beckhams bought the 17-acre estate for 2.5 million pounds in 1999 and have had a lot of work done, including adding a pool, golf course, gym, helipad, recording studio and stables
