You’d have never guessed it, but fact is that the English Rose Katrina Kaif loves cakes. And then because she is a primma donna, she won’t eat just about any cake. She loves this particular cake that is available in Dubai; and guess what she has several wellwishers who will bend backwards to fly the cake in for her.However, the last time around when boxes of her favourite cake arrived, Kat was angry. She was staying in this small hotel in Malshej shooting for Tees Maar Khan. And she was on a strict diet so she could show off her nice figure. Kat was happy with the frugal food she was given at the hotel; except that on two days when she came into her room, there was asurprise waiting for her. It was her favourite cake. The actress now truly believes that someone got a sadistic pleasure in sending her the cake knowing very well that she couldn’t even nibble at it.

Only solo-heroine films for Katrina Kaif – at least for now. That’s what the actress has decided after a string of successes from Namaste London to Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.Soon after reports that Katrina had agreed to be part of a film which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, comes news that she has opted out of the Anurag Basu film. Explaining the rationale of her decision, a close friend of the actress says, “When Katrina agreed to do Anurag Basu’s film with Ranbir, no mention was made of another heroine, and certainly not of Priyanka. However, when word about this reached her, she found the whole idea of the credit titles reading ‘Ranbir-Katrina-Priyanka’ too gimmicky. Not that she has anything against Priyanka or any other co-star.”
But the more immediate reason for Katrina could be that she has finally acquired the rights to produce the remake of a French film –she’s been after it for almost a year now and wants to immediately allot time for this pet project.
Having signed Dostana 2 and Zoya Akhtar’s next, besides Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan (for which she’s shooting at the moment), the only way she could accommodate this remake was to refuse any other projects this year.
Katrina doesn’t deny she has decided to do only solo-heroine films. “I am not saying I won’t do films with other leading ladies, but for now, I’m happy in the space I am. Why should I unnecessarily rock the boat? And yes, I am finally about to lock the deal to produce my film. It’s a fabulous role and I’ve been angling for the remake rights for quite some time. I’d like to get down to it as soon as possible.”
The remake of the French film will feature Katrina as a scheming gold-digger. She has apparently been pining to play a grey role for some time now.

These filmmakers want to start shooting in April-May-June. Naturally, the actress can’t spread herself thin despite her wanting to be in each of these projects. And right now, Kat must be joining her hands in prayer and hoping that some divine intervention will sort out her dates diary.
Tarun says, “Kat will definitely be in Dostana-2, come what may.” While Ritesh says, “We’re working towards getting Kat in our film for sure.” But Imtiaz is reportedly looking at a new Kashmiri girl opposite Ranbir.

Refuting rumours that his remuneration has shot up to Rs 12 crore, the actor says, “For an actor to talk about the money he charges is disrespectful. Honestly, the only thing that I truly want is for my work to get recognition. Money, fame, adulation will come; but it can never be the focal point of my existence. With modesty I must say that I haven’t grown up wanting anything. My parents gave me a privileged lifestyle. So how much money I charge can never be the deciding factor to gauge what heights I have scaled.’’
He is also well aware that the flip side of super stardom means that he will now live in a glass house with everything from his love life to his moods getting unwarranted attention. “I certainly don’t think discussing my relationships with my co-stars comes with the territory of stardom,’’ says the actor. “I will not talk about Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif. It is disrespectful to them as women and to their families. Who I date is really very personal.’’ So there you go. With the adulation, Ranbir has also got the attitude.

She demands seven costume changes instead of three for a music video for New York.Coco Chanel once said: 'Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.' Recently , Katrina Kaif made sure she got her way and did the latter. Katrina put her foot down and said that she needed seven changes of clothes for a music video in Yash Raj Films' New York. The incident in question happened at Yash Raj Studios, Andheri.
Initially, Aditya Chopra and choreographer Ahmed Khan had decided on three costume changes for Katrina. But keeping in mind her glamorous image, Katrina asked for four more.
When Ahmed reached the sets, Katrina told him that three changes wouldnt be sufficient. A surprised Ahmed did not agree with Katrinas demand. Moreover, he knew that he would have to inform Aditya Chopra before giving in to Katrinas wish. However, when Katrina politely told Ahmed that she would have it no other way he had no choice but to call Aditya who was busy in his office upstairs .
Aditya told Ahmed that he was okay with seven changes if the choreographer had no problem. Thereafter, Ahmed told Katrina that she could have what she wanted.
Once the green signal was given by Aditya, four additional costumes were arranged much to Katrinas delight.
Ahmed confirmed and said, Yes, Katrina wanted seven changes in the music video. I wasnt too excited with the idea initially, but when I saw the final result, I think she was right. The music video has worked out brilliantly.
However, I made it clear to Katrina that seven costume changes should not eat into the time of the shoot, and it didnt , he added.
Ok, so while the Ranbir-Deepika pyar ka insecure kissa gains momentum on one end, there’s another ajab kahani at the other. It, of course, has everything to do with Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan’s ishq-vishq. A month ago Ranbir Kapoor missed his cue and slapped Katrina Kaif so hard on the setsof Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, her face ballooned and shooting had to be cancelled.Last week Katrina got her leg rather badly injured at Film City in Mumbai while shooting for Priyadarshan’s Dhan Dhana Dhan.
According to members of the cast, Katrina was doing an underwater sequence with Akshay Kumar when her foot got tangled under water.
According to a source, “The more she tried to extricate herself the more her leg got tangled. She tried to scream for help. But because of the noise on the sets including the stunt co-ordinators who were shouting instructions to the entire cast, no one heard Katrina’s screams of pain.”
Finally it was up to the film’s leading man Akshay Kumar to do the needful.Says the source, “Akshay saw Katrina was in trouble. He quickly swam to her and got her out of the tangle.”
Katrina leg was bruised and bloodied. Panic prevailed on Priyan’s sets for a while until medicos arrived and took care of Katrina’s wounded leg.

It's an action thriller. I had lots of fun shooting for the film. Race is extremely slick and has got an international look. It was so special shooting for Race. I am just looking forward to it

Salman Khan hardly mends his ways. He is losing all of his girl friends due to his aggressive nature. He missed Sangeetha Bijlani and then Aishwarya Rai only because of his wild nature. A few weeks ago he slapped Katrina in a coffee club publicly but she denied the reports.
Now again Salman came to a film city in Mumbai knowing that Katrina is in final schedule of the shooting of the film ‘Yuvraj‘. He dashed into her caravan and locked the door from inside. Then a couple of shouts from Salman and a slapping sound followed by a wail by Katrina are heard from outside. Then Sallu rushed out with a stern grimace. The actress, who was shooting in London recently, got to spend some quality time with her three sisters living there. “Katrina and her sisters would go and park themselves at a Japanese restaurant and eat to their hearts content. It became quite a joke on the sets that one place to locate Katrina after pack up was the Japanese restaurant. She, along with her sisters, would invariably land there and relish Japanese food,” said a source.Wonder who’s keeping a watch on those calories?
